Penelope Cruz was all smiles at the Spanish premiere of “Los Abrazos Rotos" (Broken Embraces) in the Proyecciones theater on Wednesday (March 18), in Madrid, Spain.
The “Vanilla Sky” star playfully posed with director Pedro Almodovar on the red carpet as her new movie makes its way into theaters in Spain.
At a press conference for Los Abrazos Rotos last week, the 34-year-old actress talked about winning the Oscar last month for best supporting actress for her role in Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
“The Oscar has come with me to Spain, and I am going to leave it here. For now, I have no idea what this award is going to mean for me,” Cruz said. She also said that she is currently in talks to work with Italian director Sergio Castellitto, for his latest film Venuto al mondo (Into the World). “We’re starting to talk but I can’t confirm anything concrete,” she said.
