Showgirls(1995)-Sometimes a film that's meant to be sexy just isn't. On the surface, Showgirls has got all the ingredients for a real trouser-stirrer but, somehow, Paul Verhoeven's Las Vegas stripper flick is tacky when it should be arousing, and funny when it should be raunchy, so much so that it's become a kitsch classic. Particularly OTT is the swimming pool sex between Elizabeth Berkeley and Kyle Maclachlan - he wears a look of furious concentration, she thrashes around like a woman possessed.

Stone is the chief suspect in a murder investigation, while Douglas is the detective who gets a little too involved in the case. Basic Instinct's infamous scene comes when Stone uncrosses her legs under interrogation.
Stealing Beauty- A tender, sensual coming of age tale from Italian maestro Bernardo Bertolucci, Stealing Beauty follows a 19-year-old American girl, Lucy Harmon (Liv Tyler), as she travels to Tuscany to spend time with family friends following the suicide of her mother. As well as recovery from this tragic event, Lucy plans to use the trip to lose her virginity - the scene in which she does this, with a young Italian boy, is a masterpiece of understated eroticism.

Boogie Nights(1997)-Paul Thomas Anderson takes us on a voyage to the golden era of 70s Hollywood porn, before VHS, when it was considered an art form. Mark Wahlberg plays an aspiring actor with a huge talent, who is spotted by porn director Burt Reynoldsand made into a star. Boogie Nights boasts comedy names like Dirk Diggler, Jack Horner and Brock Landers. It also contains explicit sex scenes, such as when Wahlberg and Julianne Moore have sex on camera as porn stars for the first time.
